Our story goes back to ancient times. A tribe leader consults an oracle to find out where to settle. The oracle tells the tribe that they will settle in the area opposite the “land of the blind”. Reaching today’s Sarayburnu, the tribe changed their minds and decided to settle on the opposite shore. The place they were in was so beautiful that it was claimed that those who settled on the opposite shore could only be blind due to this decision of the tribe, and Istanbul was the place where the tribe decided to settle.
